TED TURNER has some healthy advice: use sunscreen and wear hats. Turner had surgery over the weekend to remove a skin cancer from his lip.
A Turner spokesman proclaimed: "The procedure was successful. He is in excellent condition. There were no complications. And he is expected to make a full recovery."
The 55-year-old founder of Cable News Network, TBS Superstation and Turner Network Television divulged in a speech Saturday to summer graduates of Georgia State University that he was about to have a piece of his lip removed.
The idea of millions of people seeing DENNIS FRANZ of "NYPD Blue" showering didn't scare him into losing weight.
"I'd love to say that I'm going to get in shape for it, but the most I'll probably do is skip breakfast," says Franz, who plays Detective Andy Sipowicz on the show. "So what you see is what you're gonna get."
Fans of "The Dick Van Dyke Show" who may have been looking forward to a reunion will have to settle for reruns, said actress ROSE MARIE, who played comedy writer Sally Rogers on the show.
