Negotiations between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Palm Beach financier Malcolm Glazer continued Friday amid a report that he had reached an agreement in principle to buy the National Football League franchise for $192 million.

WFLA-TV, quoting a source the station did not identify, said a deal was struck between Glazer and the trustees overseeing the estate of late Bucs owner Hugh Culverhouse.

The station said the parties would work through the weekend to complete the deal and that a formal announcement would be made Monday. Talks continued Friday night in Tampa, and the trustees and Glazer were unavailable for comment.

Glazer, who reportedly has told the trustees he's committed to keeping the Bucs in Tampa for a minimum of two years, is one of three bidders with connections to Baltimore.

Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos made a two-tiered offer for the Bucs - $205 million to move the team to that former NFL market and $170 million to operate in Florida.

A third group that includes attorney Robert Schulman, who has been involved in several unsuccessful attempts to obtain a team for Baltimore, also has an offer on the table. …
