BLOOD DRIVE

Belleville: St. Elizabeth's Hospital and the American Red Cross are sponsoring a blood drive. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old, and be in good general health.

SPAGHETTI DINNER

Edwardsville: The League of Women Voters of the Edwardsville Area will hold its 1995 Spaghetti Dinner. Carryouts will be available.

Place: First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 237 N. Kansas Street.

When: Friday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Cost: Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under.

CHEMICAL DEPENDENCE

Granite City: St. Elizabeth Medical Center's Chemical Dependency Services will present the film on "Codependency - How The Family Is Affected By Alcoholism and Drug Addiction." The speaker will be Warren Neal, a counselor in St. Elizabeth's Behavior Health System. An opportunity for a question-and-answer session will follow the talk.

Place: Wiesman Room, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, 2100 Madison Avenue.

Belleville: The Chemical Dependence Program at St. Elizabeth's Hospital is sponsoring a Family Education Program. The program will feature the film "Alcohol and Cocaine: The Secret of Addiction." This film explains how drugs affect the brain and the user. An opportunity for questions will follow the film.

GED CLASSES

Granite City: Belleville Area College is offering free General Education Development (GED) classes. GED classes prepare participants who have not received a high school diploma to take a test to receive a high school equivalency certificate.

When: 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. weekdays, from Feb. 3 to March 2.
