ATA Discounting Spring Air Travel To Popular Cities

American Trans Air is celebrating spring with discounts on travel from St. Louis and three other cities.

ATA has cut its fares from St. Louis to Orlando and other Florida destinations to as little as $99 each way for adults and $79 each way for children and people over 55.

The discounts apply to travel between April 19 and June 6. Passengers must buy their tickets by April 26.

The promotional fare from St. Louis to Las Vegas also is $99 each way for adults and $79 each way for children and older travelers. The fares to Nassau in the Bahamas are $99 each way and $89 each way, respectively. Prince Charles Takes Leaf From Paul Newman's Book

Prince Charles has a new way to raise money for his charities - making herbal soft drinks from fruits grown on his estates.

Coca-Cola and Schweppes Beverages Ltd. will produce and distribute the nonalcoholic, sparkling drinks, Mike Cornish, managing director of Duchy Originals, said Monday.

"Both drinks were carefully crafted by masters of wine to produce a sophisticated alternative to alcohol. They are blended from the finest natural English apples, pears, raspberries and herbs with lightly carbonated Scottish spring water," Cornish said.

Duchy No. 1 and Duchy No. 3 go on sale Wednesday for about $3.90 a bottle.

Associated Press Panel Urges Ulcer Drug Sale Without Prescription

A panel of scientists unanimously urged the Food and Drug Administration Monday to allow the popular ulcer drug Tagamet to be sold without a prescription for treatment of heartburn.

But the FDA advisory committee insisted that the over-the-counter Tagamet boxes include warnings that the drug might interact with some prescription medicine for certain lung diseases and seizures and with blood thinners. …
