Dorothy J. Holtkamp

Dorothy J. "Dot" Holtkamp, 57, of St. Charles, died Sunday (April 30, 1995) of cancer at Barnes St. Peters Hospital.

Mrs. Holtkamp was employed for 22 years as a manager of Huck's Food and Fuel Store in St. Charles.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, 2700 West Clay Street, St. Charles. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Among survivors are her husband, Charles F. Holtkamp Sr. of St. Charles; two sons, Charles F. Holtkamp Jr. of Lake Saint Louis and Kenneth R. Holtkamp of St. Charles; her parents, George F. and Adel Schrader of Mendelein, Ill.; three brothers, George G. Schrader of Mount Vernon, Mo., John J. Schrader of Janesville, Wis., and Clifford Schrader of Walworth, Wis.; three sisters, Virginia Barteau of St. Charles, Carol Hoffman of Mendelein and Cynthia Pentel of Beloit, Wis.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society can be made in care of the funeral home. Melvin Walter Shaw

Melvin Walter Shaw, 74, of Augusta, died Sunday (April 30, 1995) of natural causes at the Ellisville Health Center.

Mr. Shaw was retired. He had been employed as a machinist for McDonnell Douglas Corp.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pitman-Thilking Funeral Home, Public and Walnut streets, Augusta. Burial will be at Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery in Schluersburg. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Among survivors are two daughters, Patty L. Voelkerding of Marthasville and Elizabeth S. Emberg of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Ruby Ross of Grayville, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne can be made in care of the funeral home. Louise C. Gapsch

Louise C. Gapsch, 83, of Troy and formerly of Silex, died Sunday (April 30, 1995) of natural causes at the Troy Nursing Center in Troy.

Mrs. Gapsch was a homemaker. She served as a Sunday school teacher for 10 years at St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Sappington, where she never missed a Sunday. She was also a member of the Hawk Point VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McCoy & Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone Street, Troy. Burial will be at Hawk Point City Cemetery on Highway A. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home. …
