Stampede Reunites Livingstone, Collins

Chris Livingstone, a former standout quarterback at Country Day and Northeast Missouri State, signed with the St. Louis Stampede of the Arena Football League.

The signing of Livingstone, who is 6 feet 5 and 230 pounds, follows the Stampede's enlisting earlier this week of former University of Missouri receiver Linzy Collins. Livingstone and Collins were roommates and teammates for the 1990 season at Missouri, before Livingstone transferred to Northeast Missouri State.

At NEMO, Livingstone passed for 4,575 yards, completing 362 of 629 passes for 32 touchdowns in three seasons.

***** GOLF Eggeling's 63 Ties Tourney Record

Dale Eggeling, who has won only once since joining the LPGA Tour in 1976, tied a tournament record with a 9-under-par 63 in the opening round of the Oldsmobile Classic in East Lansing, Mich. She had five birdies over seven holes on the back nine and leads Sweden's Helen Alfredsson by 2 strokes. Eggeling had nine birdies and matched the 63 set by Beth Daniel, who won the tournament last year.

Greg Norman returned from a six-week break from competition with a 6-under-par 66 and shared the lead in the rain-delayed and uncompleted first round of the Memorial tournament in Dublin, Ohio. Norman, who was tied with Mark O'Meara, had not played since back spasms forced him out of the Heritage Classic in April.

***** FOOTBALL Jaguars Sign All Their Draftees

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed their entire 1995 draft class, including first-round picks Tony Boselli and James Stewart. The 6-foot-8, 305-pound Boselli, considered the nation's top offensive lineman in this year's draft, was the second overall pick out of Southern California. Stewart, the 19th overall selection, finished his collegiate career as Tennessee's rushing leader.
