FAIR Saint Louis promises to go out of its way to accommodate the handicapped for the fair and the Veiled Prophet parade.

Among the special services:

The Mosby-Year Book Disabled Services Center will be situated on the fairgrounds at Memorial Drive and Chestnut Street, across from the Adam's Mark Hotel. The center, housed in a tent, will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day of the fair.

The Disabled Services Center will have 20 wheelchairs available for free use. (Those using the chairs will be required to leave a driver's license or other suitable identification.)

A limited number of vehicles will be available to provide rides for the disabled to and from the fair and around the perimeter of the grounds. Requests for such rides may be made before the fair by calling 434-3434 and during the fair by calling 570-4000.

Rest rooms, accessible to the disabled, will be available on the grounds. In addition, interpreters for the deaf and volunteer guides for the blind will be provided on request at the Disabled Services Center. …
