The following list reports on major road-construction projects that could cause traffic congestion. Information for the list was provided by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, the Illinois Transportation Department and construction contractors. MISSOURI North County:

I-70: Between Cypress Road and St. Charles Rock Road, lane closures may occur in off-peak hours. South County:

I-270: Lanes may close on northbound and southbound I-270, with narrowed lanes in off-peak hours. Lanes are narrowed on Dougherty Ferry Road.

I-55: At Meramec River, lanes may be closed in off-peak hours. Northbound I-55 lanes will be rejoined this week, and the southbound I-55 lanes will be shifted east. The lanes will remain in these positions through December.

At Lindbergh Boulevard, temporary ramp revisions may cause delays. Signs will indicate new ramp locations. Traffic is detoured on Lindbergh at I-55.

From north of Lindbergh Boulevard to north of I-270, southbound I-55 traffic will be split this week. Motorists should be alert for revisions and drive with caution. Lane closures may occur in off-peak hours.

From I-270 to Meramec Bottom Road, southbound lanes will be narrowed and shifted. Lanes on Butler Hill Road will close in off-peak hours.

Mattis Road over I-55 will be closed until December for the construction of a new bridge.

I-44: At Fox Creek bridge near Allenton Road and at the Union Pacific Railroad bridge near the Highway 100 east junction, some lanes may close in off-peak hours, and some lanes will be narrowed lanes at both locations. Eastbound traffic has been detoured to the median bypass at the Fox Creek Bridge. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to the median bypass at the Union Pacific Railroad bridge near the 100 east junction.

I-270: At Sappington Road, lane closures may occur on I-270 northbound and southbound. Northbound Sappington Road over I-270 is closed until October. Southbound Sappington Road will remain open. St.Charles County:

Route 370: Eastbound and westbound lane closure will occur in off-peak hours. …
