It has been billed as "The Granddaddy of all Nostalgia Events."

Mid-America Raceways in Wentzville will play host to the 11th annual Mid-America Nostalgia Drag Race and Rod Run Series for cars manufactured in 1965 and earlier this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

"This is really one of the oldest and biggest events of our season," MAR track spokeswoman Ann Vehige said. "We've been getting pre-entries for more than a month and we expect to put on another great show.

"We're going to have some great cars. It should be a lot of fun for the participants and for all the fans."
