Pat Robertson, who operates one of the world's largest ministries, is being kicked off two TV stations - one here and one in Jefferson City - for not paying the bills for his 700 Club.

Robertson's group owes more than $34,000 for its July, August and September bills, according to the Rev. Larry Rice, a minister who operates both stations.

A week ago, Rice's stations began broadcasting announcements saying that the 700 Club wasn't paying its bills.

The stations asked viewers to call the 700 Club in Virginia Beach, Va., to find out why the bills weren't being paid.

The 30-second announcements ran at the start and end of the 700 Club's hourlong broadcasts.

A spokesman for Robertson's group, the Christian Broadcasting Network, said Friday that Robertson wanted to remain on broadcast TV here.

Payment of the bills has been delayed because of "reorganization and some restructuring within CBN," said Gene Kapp, vice president of public relations for the religious group. …
