Isn't it obvious why Art Modell wants to move the Browns from Cleveland to Baltimore? As with most NFL owners, he was blessed with one of the largest egos known to mankind. Just like Bill Bidwill, he feels he just hasn't been getting the respect he "deserves" from his longtime hometown. After trying desperately to stop the Rams from moving to St. Louis to preserve the "integrity" of the game, Mr. Modell saw Georgia Frontiere gain the love and admiration of St. Louis. I was disgusted by the behavior of the governor of Maryland and his group, along with Mr. Modell and his group, at the televised announcement of their formal agreement. Here were grown men laughing . . . over the success of their "secret" deal. Their insensitive gloating over their "stealing" another city's team was appalling.

Numerous readers have expressed support for the Missouri University football program - saying the University is committed to winning, give Coach Smith more time. The reporting is biased, this is a young team, the coach has taken teams to the Rose Bowl. The only way this football program will go to a bowl game is with a paid admission. As a Blues season-ticket holder, I have been going to games for a few years, and I have one question: When did we become Dallas? I'm referring to the music after the Blues score, which is now the "Hey" song. "When the Blues Go Marchin' In" is almost an afterthought.
