Was it a flagrant blow? Yes.

A cheap shot? No.

That's how Rams coach Rich Brooks saw the hit administered by New York Jets defensive end Marvin Washington, which resulted in another concussion Sunday for quarterback Chris Miller.

"Two years ago, it would have been called a good football play," Brooks said. "But the rules have changed. And specifically, the rules have been changed to eliminate that type of a hit where you go helmet to helmet with the quarterback, and then take him to the ground to finish it off."

That's exactly what happened with 2 minutes 30 seconds remaining in the second quarter of the Rams' 23-20 victory on Sunday. Washington was ejected after the play and the Jets were penalized 15 yards for roughing the passer.

Mr. Robinson: Look for more of Greg Robinson on Sunday against Buffalo.

"No question Robinson deserves more of a look," Brooks said Monday. "We'll evaluate that like we always do in the next 48 hours, and try to go into practice on Wednesday with a plan. …
