Reiniger, Moser Help Ambush by Chicago

Ambush forwards Joe Reiniger and Mark Moser combined for 21 points Wednesday night in a 27-6 victory over the Chicago Power.

Reiniger tied a individual record by scoring 11 points (three 2-point goals, a 3-point goal and two assists), and Moser finished with 10 points (four 2-point goals and two assists)lt.

The Ambush (10-4) have won three in a row and are tied for first place with the Milwaukee Wave and Kansas City Attack in the National Division of the National Professional Soccer League.

Chicago is 2-13 and in last place in the division.

Reiniger scored eight points in the first half and helped put the Ambush in command. St. Louis led 10-4 at halftime.

"We really played well with our set pieces," Ambush player-coach Daryl Doran said. "We have been working them well lately, and on defense tonight, we didn't give up any goals on set pieces."

Reiniger, who had been hampered by a nagging ankle injury, was sharp Wednesday night.

"Joe's ankle is getting stronger, and he almost looked like the same player we had last year," Doran said. …
