Michael Jordan scored 12 of his 28 points in the final six minutes of the fourth quarter, helping the Bulls come from as many as nine points behind to tie it 93-93 and 96-96.

Kevin Johnson had 20 points and 10 assists but left the game with a hamstring pull in the third quarter. Rookie Michael Finley, who fouled out, had 14 points. Perry, Johnson's replacement at point guard, scored 12 points in the game's last 16 minutes.

Scottie Pippen scored 19 points for the Bulls (41-5); Toni Kukoc added 18.

Lakers 99, Nuggets 78: Magic Johnson scored 16 points, had 12 assists and narrowly missed a triple-double with nine rebounds, leading Los Angeles to victory in Denver.

Johnson, in his fourth game since ending his retirement last week, played 33 minutes.

Cedric Ceballos scored 27 points for Los Angeles. Dikembe Mutombo had 20 points, 17 rebounds and eight blocked shots for Denver.

Spurs 109, Hornets 102: Vinny Del Negro scored 13 of his 17 points in the first quarter, fueling San Antonio's win in Charlotte, N.C.
