Caribbean Stud is one of the few table games that can deliver a huge payoff for a small bet. On this game, for example, I could have won $84,000 for a $16 bet. The biggest return I could get at craps, roulette or blackjack is 35 to 1. Of course, all I had to do to hit the big jackpot was draw a royal flush in five cards. Yeah, right.

Anyway, I played three hands at the Queen. Each time, I bet my $5 ante and a $1 side bet for the progressive jackpot. And each time, I folded.

That's right. In three hands, I could scare up nothing better than ace-queen.
