151 Make Grade on and off the Field for Lindenwood College Sports Teams

A record 151 students have been named to the 1995 fall Athletic Academic Honor Roll at Lindenwood College. The Athletic Academic Honor Roll recognizes full-time students who excel in the classroom and participate in one or more sports.

The list includes student-athletes with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher. The previous honor roll record of 141 came last spring.

The honor roll is divided into three categories: the Presidential Honor Roll for students with grade-points between 3.75 and 4.00; the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for students with grade-points between 3.50 and 3.74; and the Coaches Honor Roll for students with grade-points between 3.00 and 3.49.

"We are very pleased to present this list of outstanding student-athletes," said Steve Crotz, Lindenwood athletic director and women's basketball coach. "We stress the importance of academics to our athletes and we take great pride in that. These young men and women have demonstrated a competitive spirit in the classroom as well as in the s ports setting."

Thirty-five students were named the the Presidential Honor Roll, including 13 4.0 students and 10 players from the women's soccer team that finished as national runner-up.
