Creve Coeur, Franklin County Voters to Choose Directors

Voters in the Creve Coeur Fire Protection District and in such districts in Franklin County will be choosing directors Tuesday. In addition, Franklin County voters will be choosing directors for two ambulance districts and two road districts.

CREVE COEUR FIRE

Director - Six-year term

HARVEY SEIGEL

AGE: 48.

HOME: St. Louis.

OCCUPATION: Self-employed.

POLITICAL CAREER: Incumbent, elected in 1990.

ISSUES: Maintaining Creve Coeur's excellent fire and paramedic services while being financially responsible is the most important issue. The paramedics and firefighters need to continue their high level of education and training in order to give our citizens the best service possible.

QUALIFICATIONS: I have learned a great deal about the fire service during my term as director. Also, being appointed to the St. Louis County Fire Standards Commission Board for five years has made me aware of the countywide issues facing the fire service.

ISSUES: Work toward lowering ISO rating for lower homeowners' insurance premiums. Continue updating our firefighting equipment to protect our community. Continue providing training for our volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS: Have been a volunteer firefighter for 33 years. Am a state certified firefighter. Have attended numerous University of Missouri fire schools; attended several firefighting management schools; member of the state fire protection districts; Missouri Fire Chiefs Association; Firefighters Association of Missouri; and one of the organizers of Boles Fire Protection District.

ERMON RUST

AGE: 49.

HOME: Villa Ridge.

OCCUPATION: Retail hardware sales.

POLITICAL CAREER: Not provided.

ISSUES: I would work to get a lower insurance rate for the fire district. This would save all homeowners money on their insurance bills. Open up meetings to the public and get their input.

QUALIFICATIONS: Fifteen years as Boles volunteer firefighter. National Fire Acadmey classes. I have new ideas.

DONALD J. NASH

AGE: 69

HOME: Village Ridge.

OCCUPATION: Retired.

POLITICAL CAREER: Elected to Franklin County Public Water Supply District 3, 1994.

ISSUES: None provided.
