former lead singer of Sugarstickygirl, who will be performing solo Tuesday night as part of the Sheldon's Notes from Home series. The band, the Relatives, will also play.

Q: What have you been listening to lately?

A: One thing that has really influenced me lately is a CD I got for Christmas, "Defrost Your Heart." It's a compilation of old Sun recordings. It's really cool. I hadn't heard one song on it and now I like them all. I play the fiddle to it all the time.

Q: What do you listen to when you're in a writing mood?

A: I've been writing a lot of tunes lately. I like to listen to Peter Himmelman when I'm in a high inspiration period. He has really good phrasing, a little unexpected. It's pretty basic chord progressions, but with a little bit of a spin.
