Article excerpt

The East Missouri Baseball Association playoffs will continue Sunday with the second game of the championship series in both the East and West leagues.

In best-of-three series action, Old Monroe (16-4) travels to Fireman's Park in Wentzville to take on Wentzville (13-8) in the West League while the Cottleville-Harvester (13-9) plays host to the Portage Pirates (14-7) at C-H Park. Both games begin at 1:30 p.m.

Old Monroe and C-H each hold 1-0 leads in their respective series. After a champion has been crowned in each league, the two champions will meet in the best-of-three Little World Series to determine the 1996 EMBA champion. Last year, Old Monroe swept C-H to win last year's title. The Francis Howell High baseball program will hold its annual alumni baseball game 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at C-H Park.
