CARTOONING

St. Peters: Try cartooning.

Place: St. Peters Cultural Arts Center, 3960 Mexico Road.

Time: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday evenings.

Program: Learn the basics of cartooning and creating caricatures in this six-week class. This program is for those ages 8 through adult and is taught by Bryan K. Loy.

Cost: $35 for residents, $40 for nonresidents. Cartooning Art Kits available for $14.50.

MammographySt. Charles: Mammography screening is offered by the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Mammography Van.

Place: 1950 Zumbehl Road, at the Schnucks.

Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

Program: Mammography screening is the most effective method for early detection of breast cancer.

FISH, FILLET AND COOK

Busch Wildlife Area: Kids ages 8 to 12 are invited to a class about fishing.

Place: Busch Lodge.

Time: 8 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 21.

Program: Youngsters will learn how to catch, fillet and cook a fish in this 2 1/2-hour class.

.ARCHERY SHOOTS

Busch Wildlife Area: Join in the Archery Shoot hosted by Overland Trails Archery Club. This shoot is open to the public and includes men's and women's divisions.

Place: Busch Archery Range.

Time: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15.

Program: This shoot and other archery club shoots will be scheduled at Busch Archery Range; 3-D shoots charge a nominal fee.

BARNEY

O'Fallon: See Barney and his dino-pals, Baby Bop and BJ in "Barney's Big Surprise."

Place: Kiel Auditorium.

Time: 5:30 to 11 p.m. Sept. 19.

Program: There also will be appearances by Professor Tinkerput, Mother Goose and her friends Little Miss Muffet, Little Boy Blue and the Cat in the Fiddle. Bus will depart from Krekel Depot.

Cost: $17.50 for O'Fallon residents; $21 for nonresidents; $16.50 for nonresidents age 60 and older. Tickets on first-come first-served basis.
