The top Red Wings line of Steve Yzerman, Brendan Shanahan and Darren McCarty combined for 39 points in six games before getting blanked by Florida. Shanahan had 14 points in a six-game span, including seven goals. . . . When Marcel Cousineau beat the Canucks on Nov. 26, it was the first time a backup Toronto goalie won a game since ex-Leaf Damian Rhodes did it on Jan. 5, 1996.
