Huh?

If you think of John Lennon as a guru, a guide, a spiritual genius, you'll probably have to have "The Lost Lennon Interviews" ($12.95, Adams) by Geoffrey and Brenda Giuliano. The irony is, the book could well dissuade you of those notions of Lennon's mystique.

That's certainly not how the authors intended it. But their reverence for all things Lennon borders on the ridiculous, and renders the subject passe. "Why, then, does this talented, tragic hero so possess our thoughts even 15 long years after his passing?" they ask. And I answer, "huh?" Writer Or Stalker? Geoffrey Giuliano has also given the world "The Beatles: A Celebration," "The Beatles Album: Thirty Years of Music and Memorabilia," "John Lennon: My Brother" (with Julia Baird), "Dark Horse: The Private Life of George Harrison" and "Blackbird: The Unauthorized Biography of Paul McCartney."
