THE HOLIDAYS!

There's shopping for presents, gathering recipes and decorating the mantel. And, oh, yeah, that nagging question: "What am I going to do with my hair?"

For some, the answer can be as easy as creating a more festive look with a few highlights or the addition of a festive hair ornament. Others, however, take advantage of the opportunity to pursue a bold change - a totally new look. Denise Tretter had been considering cutting her shoulder-length hair for some time when the chance came for her to sit in Charles Coffey's chair at Eric Felty Design, 8503 Delmar Boulevard. Coffey has been a hair stylist for 22 years. For some of that time, he did hair and makeup for the touring companies that brought life to the work of Broadway playwright David Merrick. With Tretter's thick hair, Coffey chose to style it into a bob, which, with minimal teasing, can be transformed easily from a sophisticated hairstyle appropriate for work into a dramatic look for the after-work, holiday party. …
