Official Highway Maps Are Now Available

The official 1997-1998 Missouri state highway map put out by the Missouri Department of Transportation is available. You can pick up the new version of the map, which includes an expanded listing of phone numbers for several state departments, free at any of the district offices for the transportation department. The St. Louis office is at 1590 Woodlake Drive in Chesterfield. The maps include updated information on new or extended highways. The map's front cover features a picture of Route C in rural Cole County. LINDELL BANK & TRUST Trust Fund Set Up For Family Of Guard Lindell Bank & Trust Co. has set up a trust fund to benefit the wife and children of slain bank guard Richard H. Heflin Jr. Heflin died Monday when two armed men entered the Lindell Bank, at 6900 Clayton Avenue, shot him and sprayed the bank lobby with bullets during a robbery. Donations may be made to the Richard H. Heflin Jr. Memorial Trust Fund at any of the Lindell Bank locations: 6900 Clayton Avenue, 3921 Hampton Avenue or 2745 North Grand Avenue. ST. LOUIS Morehouse College Chief To Speak Here Walter E. Massey, president of Morehouse College in Atlanta, will be the keynote speaker at the 79th annual dinner meeting of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. The dinner is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Regal Riverfront Hotel. The league will grant its annual awards of merit to Stanford Scott, founder and executive director of Adventures in Motivation in East St. Louis; Union Electric Co. for public service such as Dollar More, which helps poor people pay utility bills; and the John E. and Regina Nance Memorial Scholarship Fund, founded in 1974.
