John F. Kennedy Catholic High School will have its annual Celt-A-Bration on April 5 at the school, 500 Woods Mill Road in Manchester. Cocktails and silent-auction bidding begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by an oral auction at 8:15 p.m. Tickets are $40 a person. A team of 26 students from Westminster Christian Academy will compete in the national finals of a competition called We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution. The finals, which will be April 26-27 in Washington, will test teams on their knowledge of constitutional topics before a panel of judges recruited from across the country. The Westminster team qualified for the nationals by winning the state competition, beating Joplin, the six-time defending champion.

Blair Eason, a junior at Logos School, has been invited to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine this summer. The nonprofit forum helps prepare juniors and seniors with academic promise and leadership potential for future professional careers. Blair will learn about such topics as AIDS, the doctor-patient relationship, medical ethics and the rigors of pursuing a medical degree. Blair was one of 350 students chosen through a talent identification survey. Charlie Stenger, a sophomore at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School, has been selected as the school's ambassador to the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Eastern Missouri Leadership Conference. The seminar, April 4-6 at the Henry VIII Hotel, seeks to develop leadership in high-school sophomores by bringing them into contact with leaders in government, business and industry. Katy Miller, a sophomore at Rosati-Kain High School, has been selected as the school's ambassador to the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Missouri East Leadership Seminar. The seminar, which will be April 4-6 at the Henry VIII Hotel, seeks to develop leadership in high-school sophomores by bringing them into contact with leaders in government, business, education and other professions. Katy was chosen for her leadership qualities, sensitivity to others' needs and a desire to communicate her knowledge with others. …
