German Christmas: Gerhard's Odysseys is offering its 10th annual Christmas markets tour highlighting Germany, Austria and the Alsace region of France. Participate in an Old World Christmas in Europe by visiting the "Christkindlesmarkt" (Christmas Market), a tradition that dates back hundreds of years.
There will be two departures: A Nov. 28 trip will focus on Germany and Austria with overnight stops in Heidelberg, Rothenburg and Munich in Germany, and Scharding and Salzburg in Austria. The Dec. 6 trip features the Black Forest of Germany and the Alsace region. Overnights are in Munich, Rothenburg, Freiburg and Mainz in Germany and Strasbourg, France.

Lawrence, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte and William Wordsworth and explore the places that inspired them during English literature summer school programs in the South Yorkshire town of Sheffield, England. The two-week course, offered July 12-26 and Sept. 6-20, is taught by professors from Sheffield University. Participants attend five off-campus excursions, including visits to several of the writers' homes and a performance of Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon.
