It gives an interesting finish and isn't all that difficult to apply.

All that is needed is liquid starch and the fabric of choice. The process truly is as simple as one, two, three. First, be sure the walls are clean. Next, soak the fabric in the starch. The third step is to smooth the starch-soaked fabric onto the wall. That's it. Just keep repeating this until the wall is done. Just be sure to overlap the fabric a bit, because it will shrink when it dries. And when the look grows old, just pull the fabric off the wall, wash the starch off and that's that. And if wet starch isn't something you'd want to get your hands into, there is another fabric-on-wall idea that will give a similar look: Take any fabric and attach it to a drapery rod.
