Liebman Up for Vice Chairman of Financial Education Institute

Terry Liebman, Local Federal senior vice president and chief administrative officer, has been nominated vice chairman of the Institute of Financial Education, the educational arm for the U.S. savings and loan industry.

The nomination puts Liebman in line to become chairman of the institute in 1987. She is the first woman since 1948 to hold either the vice chairman or chairman posts for the institute, and the first Oklahoman in these positions since 1944.

Liebman, who has worked for Local Federal since 1950, has served as national institute director for Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, and Missouri for the past three years.

At Local Federal, Liebman manages the residential mortgage lending, marketing, human resources, administrative services and training divisions. . .

- Rose State College will offer two courses on investment strategies during the fall, a credit course entitled "Introduction to Investments" and a non-credit course entitled "Investing for Beginners."

The credit course will run from Aug. 26 to Dec. 19. The non-credit course will be carried from Aug. 27 to Oct. 15.

"Introduction to Investments" will emphasize investment opportunities, such as stocks and bonds, precious metals and the real estate market. It will cover the investment potential of the money market, stock market, bond market, government securities market, real estate and various tax sheltered investments.

Enrollment for the class is in progress now at the Rose State College Administration Building, 6420 SE 15th St. in Midwest City.

"Investing for Beginners" will examine stocks, bonds, CDs and mutual funds, as well as discussing stock tables, financial newspapers and the terminology and language used by investors and investment firms. …
