ST. LOUIS > Manslaughter charge filed in fatal crash - Glenn Shelby, 27, who allegedly caused a fatal car crash while fleeing police, was charged Tuesday with manslaughter, assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Officials said his car ran a stop sign at Lee and Fair avenues about 7 p.m. Saturday, killing the driver of another car, Jameem Jones, 23, of the 4100 block of Sacramento Avenue. A passenger in Jones' car suffered serious injuries. A woman, 23, and an infant in Shelby's car were treated at a hospital and released. Four occupants in two other cars damaged in the wreck declined treatment. Shelby, of the 4300 block of Lee Avenue, was held in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

ST. LOUIS > Two wounded in shooting - A woman, 57, was wounded in the chest when one of several shots fired at a man on the street crashed through a window of her home in the 4300 block of College Avenue, north of Fairground Park about 9 p.m. Monday, police said. Officials said she was in stable condition at a hospital. The man, 18, was treated for a graze wound on his leg. He was riding a bicycle on a sidewalk when the shooting started from a white Chevrolet Impala, which followed him with continued gunfire as he jumped form the bike and ran.

O'FALLON, MO. > Woman charged in burglaries - A woman from Lake Saint Louis has been charged with a three daytime burglaries of homes where residents were working in their backyards and their garage doors were open. Jaqueline J. Anderson, 45, of the first block of Eagles Way Lane, was named on three counts of felony burglary, one of felony theft and three of misdemeanor theft. The crimes were Sept. 22 in the 700 block of Hawk Run Drive; Sept. 24, in the 700 block of Falcon Hill Trail; and Saturday in the 1000 block of Annabrook Park Drive. Anderson was detained for police by the Annabrook homeowner, who found her with pill bottles from his residence in her hand, officials said. …
