12.11 Christmas concerts The Sheldon is presenting jazz singer Deborah Sharn in Christmas Song concerts of seasonal selections at 10 a.m.Tuesday and Wednesday at the Concert Hall at 3648 Washington Boulevard. Tickets include complimentary pastries and coffee at 9 a.m., followed by the one-hour concert. Sharn sings with various jazz combos and cover bands in the Midwest and fronts her own jazz group, Blue Martini. 12.12 HIV council open house The St. Louis Regional HIV Health Services Planning Council is hosting its annual open house and recruitment event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jackie Joyner- Kersee Center, 101 JJK Circle in East St. Louis. Organizers hope to recruit council members from both Missouri and Illinois. 12.13 Hazelwood Master Plan meeting All residents of Hazelwood, especially those living in Ward 6, are invited to attend the Musick Park Master Plan meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Civic Center East, 8969 Dunn Road. Public comments will be considered on what residents want added, changed or enhanced at the park. Hazelwood recently got a planning grant through the Municipal Park Grant Commission for a Musick Park Master Plan. Architects will be at this public meeting to take notes on ideas that will be incorporated into a preliminary plan.
