Harrison Burns

MICDS baseball

A freshman outfielder making his third varsity start, Burns delivered a dramatic blow to lift the Rams to a come-from-behind win over Ladue. Down to his last strike on Saturday, with a full count and the bases loaded, Burns lined a three-run double to right field to give MICDS an improbable 11-10 victory. It was the second hit of the day for Burns, who went two-for-three with a pair of doubles, a walk and four RBI. Overall, he is batting .500 with six RBI.

C.J. Fitter

A junior midfielder, Fitter scored seven goals and had three assists for 17 points in the Windsor Tournament. She had a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, and an assist in a 4-3 win over Farmington. Fitter then tallied a goal and an assist in a tough 3-2 loss to Washington on penalty kicks and finished off her brilliant week with a second hat trick and an assist in a 7-1 win over Windsor in the third-place game. So far this season, Fitter has seven goals and four assists for 18 points in five games. A three- year starter, Fitter was a first-team all-Suburban South pick last year.

Jacob Renfrow

Hancock baseball

The hard-throwing right-hander fanned a total of 16 Maplewood batters eight of them looking in a 10-2 no-hitter. In 17 innings, he is 1-2 with 29 strikeouts, eight walks and a 1.29 ERA. Renfrow, who also plays shortstop, is batting .607 with 15 RBI, 10 walks and 10 stolen bases. Last season, he earned first-team all-South Central Athletic Association honors after compiling a 2-2 record with a 1.45 ERA and batting .527 with 11 RBI.

In six wins last week, the senior centerfielder and No. 3 hitter went 13-for-22 with two home runs, five doubles, three walks, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored. Royer had a four-for-four day with a pair of homers, a walk, three RBI and four runs scored in a 20-0 thumping of Metro East Lutheran and capped off the week by going four-for-nine with two doubles, five RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Piasa Southwestern. …
