Svetanics, Judy L. (nee Spreng), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died on August 31, 2013, after a short battle with cancer. Judy was born in Owensville, Missouri to the late Arnold "Jack" Spreng and the late Dorothea Ward Spreng. Loving and dear sister of Michael (Churie) Spreng and Patsy Stangl. She was the luckiest girl in the world because Neil Svetanics picked her to be his wife for over 51 years. They were blessed with four wonderful and caring daughters who married four devoted young men. Favorite daughter Maureen (Mark) Jacquot, favorite daughter Katie (John) Fischer, favorite daughter Amy (Mike) Ruggeri and favorite daughter Lisa (Mark) Mitchell who gave her the greatest gifts of all, her eight grandchildren, the apples of her eye. Favorite grandchild Dominic Ruggeri, favorite grandchild Caroline Fischer, favorite grandchild Josephine Ruggeri, favorite grandchild Jack Jacquot, favorite grandchild Neil Fischer, favorite grandchild Genevieve Jacquot, favorite grandchild Molly Mitchell and favorite grandchild Lilly Mitchell all brought her joy and laughter every single day and she thought the world of them. Judy was blessed not only in her amazing family life but also in her family of friends. She lived in Owensville, North St. Louis, Central West End and South St. Louis and had the best neighbors and friends at each stop. Her friends brought her an enormous amount of pride and love. It was this last move that also brought Judy and her family to St. Raphael the Archangel Parish. It was at this parish where all eight of her grandchildren would attend school and where she developed so many special and lasting friendships. …
