WAYNE - Don Bosco came out sluggish again Sunday and this time it proved costly as seventh-seeded St. Peter's Prep registered the biggest upset of the postseason, topping the second-seeded Ironmen, 4-2, in a state Non-Public quarterfinal at The Ice Vault.

The loss ends Don Bosco's (23-4-1) season in the state quarters for a second consecutive season while the Marauders move on to Tuesday's semifinal at Mennen Arena against the winner of Sunday's match-up between third-seeded Christian Brothers and No. 6 Gloucester Catholic.

The Marauders (9-14-2) had only three first-period shots (10 for the game) yet managed to score twice in a 2:42 span, stunning a Bosco team that looked out of sorts early for a second consecutive game. The Ironmen had similar first-period woes against Bergen Catholic in their previous game but were able to overcome them.

Vinny Addeo and Pat Norton scored in the first before Matt McMorrow halved the lead at the 6:31 mark of the second. …
