WFUV-FM (90.7) and its indie music channel, "The Alternate Side" (90.7 FM HD 3), are in Austin, Texas, teaming up with NPR Music to offer concerts and coverage from this year's South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival (SXSW), the gathering of artists, media and music lovers.

Rita Houston, WFUV's music director, and "The Alternate Side's" Alisa Ali will attend as many concerts as they can and share them with listeners.

Today's SXSW on-air schedule is: from 10 a.m. to noon ("The Alternate Side" on WNYE-FM [91.5]), sets from Sharon Van Etten and Andrew Bird; from 1 to 3 p.m. (WFUV), "SXSW Showcase," hosted by Houston and Ali, with Gary Clark Jr., Shearwater and Punch Brothers (live broadcast); from 7 to 10 p.m. (WFUV), "The Whole Wide World" with Houston presents performances by Alabama Shakes and Andrew Bird; from 10 p.m. to midnight ("The Alternate Side" on WFUV), sets by La Vida Boheme and Magnetic Fields.

Fred "Bugsy" Buggs is the new assistant program director at WRKS- FM (98.7).

With more than 18 years of experience at Emmis New York, Buggs has been an on-air midday personality at KISS-FM's sister station WQHT-FM (97.1), on-air personality throughout a number of time slots on WRKS and most recently producer for "The Tom Joyner Morning Show."

Buggs will continue as the producer for Joyner's program and can also be heard every Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. on WRKS.

The Oakland-based WVNJ-AM (1160) will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a five-hour broadcast of "The Adrian Flannelly Show" 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Flannelly, who will be making his 42nd St. Patrick's Day broadcast, will be joined by co-host John Dearie and numerous in- studio guests and musical acts.
