* Bergen Catholic senior RB James Dawson's production was critical for the Crusaders in their nationally televised 42-35 win against Bishop Gorman (NEV.) in Las Vegas. Dawson finished with two TDS and 104 yards on 25 carries, which helped keep Bishop Gorman's vaunted offense off the field for long periods of time.

* Keep an eye on Bogota's ground game. Senior QB Gordon Kohles ran for three TDs in a 28-0 win over Wood-Ridge and senior RB Edwin Fiscal has churned out 252 yards in two games.

* Butler senior QB Chris Heredia (20-for-26, 298 yards, four TDs, one rushing TD) led the Bulldogs to a 34-16 defeat of Boonton. Senior WR Kirc Bargemento (five catches, 59 yards, TD) and sophomore RB Ryan Cirillo (12 carries, 94 yards, TD) were big contributors for Butler.

* Clifton senior RB James Sonzogni was the Mustangs' catalyst in their 22-19 victory against Fair Lawn. He rushed 16 times for 96 yards and each of Clifton's three TDs.

* Hasbrouck Heights coach Nick Decalzo heads into Friday night's game at North Arlington one win shy of 200 for his career.

* Kennedy coach Ron Jackson commended senior RT Davon Burton for playing so well when pressed into emergency duty at center in the first quarter of the Knights' 21-14 win at Passaic. Burton never had played center before Saturday and he helped keep Kennedy's line cohesive.

* Kinnelon junior WR Joe Presti caught eight passes for 134 yards and a TD in the Colts' 42-21 loss to Mountain Lakes. Sean Robbins, Kinnelon's senior QB, completed 11 of 21 passes for 151 yards and two TDs.

* North Arlington senior QB Angelo Nocciolo accounted for five TDs and more than 300 total yards in the Vikings' 46-0 win over Wallington. Nocciolo completed 8 of 10 passes, including three for TDs, and carried the ball 10 times for 109 yards and two scores.

* Senior MLB Marquise Watson, a transfer from St. Peter's Prep, is fitting in seamlessly at Paramus Catholic. He has racked up a team-high 20 tackles in two games.

* Pascack Valley senior QB Kyle Schneider was impressive in a 46- 13 defeat of Old Tappan. He threw for five TDs and connected on 18 of 32 attempts for 304 yards and a two-point conversion. …
