ROCHELLE PARK -- A Paterson man acted as a getaway driver Thursday for a Clifton man charged with burglarizing a house on Colling Avenue and the Korean Presbyterian Church on Becker Avenue, police said.

The man police identified as the driver, Guillermo Peraltanoesi, 27, was being held at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack on Thursday night on $150,000 bail. He was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit theft, providing false information to police and receiving stolen property, police said.

The alleged burglar, Julio Ponce, 31, of Clifton, remained at large Thursday night, wanted on a $175,000 warrant charging him with two counts each of burglary, theft and criminal mischief, and one count of receiving stolen property, police said.

The case began earlier Thursday when a resident on St. Ann Place called police to report a suspicious person who knocked on his door and asked for someone who "didn't live there and an address that didn't exist," said Detective Jim DePreta of the Rochelle Park police. …
