Ramsey Bird-Feeding Pair's Case Is Extended Two Weeks

RAMSEY - The case against a borough couple who were issued a summons for feeding wildlife was not resolved Tuesday night and will return to Municipal Court in two weeks.

Annette Rockefeller appeared before Ramsey Municipal Judge Joseph Rotolo with her attorney, Anthony Iannarelli Jr. Rockefeller's husband, Alfred, watched as Rotolo granted him and his wife more time to explore the consequences of an agreement between Iannarelli and the municipal prosecutor, Chris Martin, who have been speaking weekly.

"One way or another this will go forward and be disposed of in two weeks," the judge told Iannarelli and Martin.

Outside the courtroom, Iannarelli said his clients want more time to consult with a civil attorney "to inquire what civil remedies they may have," he said.

He said the discussions with Martin will allow the Rockefellers to keep their peanut-dispensing bird feeder. The delay, he said, stems from the fact that Annette Rockefeller "is not willing to stipulate probable cause. …
