Former Pro Athlete Sean Banks Charged with Domestic Violence

ENGLEWOOD -- Sean Banks, the troubled former professional basketball player, has been arrested again, this time in connection with a domestic violence complaint involving the mother of his child, police said Monday.

Banks, 28, was charged Saturday with domestic violence, armed burglary, criminal mischief, illegal weapons possession and harassment. He also faces a charge of felony resisting arrest after a scuffle with police, authorities said.

Englewood police began looking for Banks on Friday morning after a woman called 911 to report that Banks had broken into her home and harassed her. When she told him to leave, police said, Banks slashed her vehicle's tires with a knife and fled.

Banks also was wanted for failing to appear in court on a number of charges, including aggravated assault, auto theft and marijuana possession. The Bergen County Sheriff's Office and police in Northvale, Wayne and Englewood all had outstanding warrants on Banks, Englewood police said. …
