Evansville, Ind. Floyd Eli Kohlmeyer, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2013, with his loving wife, Edna, at his side.

At various times he was employed at Servel, Briggs, Whirlpool and Chrysler plants in Evansville, Ind. His main passions, however, were for his John Deer tractors and farming corn, soybeans and wheat in the town of his birth, Elberfeld, Ind. Amidst his employment and farming activities, he and his wife still found time to travel most of the continental United States as well as some of Canada and Mexico.

Floyd was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Elberfeld, Ind., and a former member of the Eagles Country Club.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 38 years, Edna C. Kohlmeyer; his sons, Michael (Lori), of Newburgh, Ind., Bruce, of Chicago, Ill., Jeff, of Elberfeld, Ind., and Rod Kohlmeyer, of Mount Vernon, Ind.; stepdaughter, Barbara Deutsch (Larry), of Chandler, Ind.; stepson, Richard Blackard, of San Antonio, Texas; his sisters, Norma Jean Engler, of Princeton, Ind. …
