EVENTS Mount Vernon Junior High School: Disney?s ?Aladdin Jr.? at 7 p.m. today and 3 p.m. Saturday. Based on the popular animated film, the musical tells the story of the street urchin (Aladdin) and his quest to win Princess Jasmine?s heart. Cheryl Weber will direct 63 MVJHS students in the production ($7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors). Tickets may be purchased at the school office and at the box office one hour before each performance. For more information, call 812- 833-2077.

Hartman Arboretum: Spring at the Arboretum from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Tours of the many features will be provided by Master Gardeners. Includes family activities. Hartman Arboretum is one- half mile north of Diamond Avenue on Cynthiana Road. Turn left at the German Township Booster Club sign and follow the signs to the Arboretum.

Friends of Harmonie State Park Trail Work Days: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 20 and 21. Meet at the campground gatehouse. Also June 15 and 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bring water, bug spray, sun screen, lunch, working gloves, hand tools (hand clippers of all sizes to trim brush, ax, machete, etc.) gas-powered tools (weed trimmers, hedge trimmers, pole saw, leaf blowers, etc; no chain saws). In case of bad weather, the park office will be the point of contact for work day cancellations or work time adjustments. Call the office at 812- 682-4821 after 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the trail day.

Rummage Sale: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 at St. Paul?s United Church of Christ, 12th Avenue and West Michigan Street.

Flea Market, Rummage and Bake Sale: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Peter?s United Methodist Church, 2800 St. Phillips Road. Bag sale for church items only will be at 12:30 p.m. Food will be available. Information: 812- 985-5143.

The Mount Vernon Indiana Azalea Trail Committee: azalea sale at the Riverfront Park on Water Street from 1 p.m. until sold out April 20. Proceeds from the sale will be used to provide a sign at the Riverfront Park to identify three azalea walking trails through the city of Mount Vernon.

The Alexandrian Public Library in Mount Vernon: ?The Day in Its Color: A Posey County Photographer and the World He Left Behind? presented by Indiana University professor Eric Sandweiss,April 27 at 10 a.m. Co-hosted by Posey County Historical Society and Alexandrian Public Library (free).

The United Way of Posey County: workshop designed to help nonprofit organizations learn how to find, recruit, engage, and keep volunteer members for their board of directors. The workshop, offered in cooperation with the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network, will be April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Alexandrian Public Library, 115 West Fifth Street, Mount Vernon, Ind.
