Evansville, Ind. Milton A. "Red" Rideout, Jr., 80, of Evansville, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013.

Red was born August 20, 1932, in Sebree, Ky., to the late Milton Aaron and Pauline (Collins) Rideout, Sr. He attended Central High School. Red worked at Chrysler Corporation and operated a Red Bird gas station on Franklin Street. He also owned and operated a Zepher gas station before starting his own business, Rideout's Auto Repair, now known as Rideout's Transmission. Red was a member of the Old Tyme Auto Club, Family Motor Coach and the Evansville Road Knights. He was an extra class amateur radio operator KC9QG. He loved collecting and restoring cars and traveling in his converted motor coach with his wife, Vivian. R ed was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Vivian (Parkinson) Rideout; two sons, David (Dawn) Rideout and Rick (Vicky) Rideout, both of Evansville; sister, Stella (Dale) Porter; brother, Hugh Davis "Mickey" Rideout; and grandchildren, Rodney (Malinda) Rideout, Kristopher Rideout, Rusty (Kelly) Rideout and Rogy Rideout; great- grandchildren, Kaylee Rideout, Taylor Rideout, Ella Rideout, Reed Rideout and Justin Osbourne; and many nieces and nephews. …
