Evansville, Ind. Polly Havilah (Evitts) Fischer, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Heritage Center-Holiday Healthcare.

Polly was born in Central City, Kentucky, on July 2, 1929, to the late Lucien Emitt and Fairy Luvada (Cobb) Evitts. She worked many places through the years. Her favorite job was working at GFI Pharmaceutical Research from 1987 to 1996. Polly loved to go to work every day and always had a good time. She was a lifetime member of the River Bend Association where she enjoyed visiting with friends. Polly was baptized and became a member of First Christian Church in 2009. She loved making new friends, Sunday School and singing those familiar hymns.

Polly is survived by her daughters, Brenda Strieter (Erik), Linda Willett (Charlie) and Kim Grimm (Tim); grandchildren, Stephanie Kolb (Kraig), Scott Strieter (Shannon), Matthew Willett (Ashley), Joshua Willett (Kim), Benjamin Grimm and Katherine Grimm; 10 great- grandchildren; and nieces, Retha McGuyer, Virginia Vincent, Trenda Due, Glenda Kay Boggess and Mary Lou Curry. …
