Rep. Bucshon, GOP acting like children

The Republican leadership in Washington is acting like spoiled children who are not getting their way. The Affordable Care Act was validated when the electorate reelected President Obama. They did not get their way in the election and now they are trying to power grab and assume more power than the constitution provides.

While this is going on, our congressman, Larry Bucshon, has voted lockstep with the Republican Party. This is not what he was elected for. He was elected to represent the people of his district and by voting to shut down the federal government, he is not doing his job.

At this point our congressman can be either part of the problem or part of the solution.

Up to this point I would argue that he is part of the problem and is doing what he thinks will get him re-elected.

GOP's shutdown hurts Americans

Rep. Todd Young and the Republicans shouldn't play games with other peoples' lives or the economy!

My son has worked for years (ROTC, college, law school) to get to the point where he could attend officers school in the Army JAG Corps. He was scheduled to start Oct. 5, but now with the government shutdown there is no money for the civilian trainers and his orders are on indefinite suspension.

If Rep. Young and the Republicans want to repeal Obamacare, they should follow the legislative procedures set out in the Constitution and not hold the nation and peoples' future hostage to their narrow political interests.

Many people have been working very hard to get the economy going again, and young people are trying to find jobs. The last thing we need is for the Republicans to give a body blow to the economy by shutting down the government and threatening default.

For Rep. Young to participate in this treachery is despicable! …
