Alleged Whiz in Cab Leads to Arrest ; Suspect Held at County Jail

An Evansville man's trip home from a bar Tuesday night instead landed him in jail after he allegedly couldn't control his bodily functions while riding in a taxi cab. The driver also accused his reportedly unruly passenger, identified by police as Donald J. Sikes, of later relieving himself on both the driver and the driver's vehicle once he stepped out of the cab.

According to an Evansville Police Department affidavit, a Unity Taxi driver told officers that Sikes, 51, urinated in his van while the driver was taking him home from a Garvin Street bar about 10 p.m. The driver told police Sikes made the driver aware he needed to relieve himself after he had committed the deed.

Sikes then became angry when the driver informed him that such an act would add a $75 fee to his fare and threw a container of food at the driver while the cab was still moving, police said.

Police did not indicate what the food was, but the affidavit indicated whatever it was apparently included ketchup. …
