Evansville, Ind. Mary Ellen (Busch) Stofleth passed away on December 5, 2013, at Deacon -ess Hospice surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born on October 27, 1927, in Evansville, to August and Anna (Schriek) Busch.

Mary Ellen was a homemaker, and she also worked in the office at Indian Industries (Escalade) for approximately 25 years until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering, making intricate decorations and blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also loved cooking, baking and candy making, especially during the holidays.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Francis X. Stofleth; her parents; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Charles and Patricia Busch and James and Kitty Busch; and sisters and brother-in-law, Alvira and Phil Mastropolito and Jane Busch.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Jim) Kibler, David (Connie) Stofleth, Chris (Pat) Stofleth and Cindy (Kent) Watson; grandchildren, Ryan (Brooke) Kibler, Erin (Chris) Sexton, Danny, Katie and Matthew Stofleth, Joshua Stofleth and Michelle and Sarah Watson; as well as great-grandchildren, Bradyn and Grace Kibler and Landon Sexton. …
