IRIS Signs New Deals Worth Pounds 700k in Just Three Months ; Third-Largest Chambers in UK Is Latest Contract Company Is Reaping Rewards of Investment
AFAST-GROWING supplier of legal software has taken the value of deals signed in the past three months to Pounds 700,000 after signing a contract with the third-largest barristers' chambers in the country. IRIS Legal, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, has secured a deal worth Pounds 360,000 with Birmingham set St Philips Chambers. It follows a string of orders worth Pounds 340,000 since the start of June, including ones with Liverpool firm MWT Solicitors, Neves Scott in Dartford, Kent, and Venator Legal, of Melton Constable, Norfolk.
IRIS, which is owned by private equity firm HG Capital, supplies practice management software and legal forms for conveyancing and probate matters.
It achieved revenues of Pounds 21.8m in the year to April and underlying pre-tax profits of Pounds 4.2m, up from Pounds 21.2m and Pounds 3.3m respectively in the previous 12 months. As well as its headquarters in Knutsford, the firm has a sales operation in Manchester and offices in Hull, Grantham, London, Stirling, Belfast and Dublin. It employs 270 people.
