Boy, 15, Admits Sex Attacks on Five Women ; Victims Groped as They Walked Home at Night He Smiled and Skipped Away after One Assault

ABOY of 15 groped five women as they walked home at night.

One of the victims was left 'frozen with fear' as the boy grabbed her as she entered her home. He then smiled as he 'skipped away', Manchester Crown Court was told.

But a judge spared the boy custody, saying there was a 'far greater prospect' of the him being rehabilitated in the community than if he was locked up. All of the attacks occurred just days apart between July 31 and August 5 in south Manchester this year.

Gavin Howie, prosecuting, said: "The victims were all females aged between 17 and 25 and the offences all took place in the hours of darkness."

The boy from south Manchester, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault.

The court heard the first victim was grabbed from behind as she entered her house on July 31.

Mr Howie said: "She says he was smiling an open wide smile showing his teeth. She was freezing with fear. The male then walked off in bouncy, carefree manner. …
