MANCHESTER Giants will have two of their walking wounded back for Friday's testing trip to champions Newcastle.

But Jeff Jones' men will still be facing potentially their stiffest challenge of the season so far. Nathan Schall and James Griffiths will be back in the veteran coach's squad for the visit to the north east. But guard Callum Jones is around three weeks away from a return after damaging ligaments and chipping a bone in his ankle. Forward Schall, who took an elbow in the mouth in training, and guard Griffiths, who broke a bone his foot, will be available again. "It gives us a couple of extra bodies, which we will need at the weekend," said Jones, who will be looking to turn around a two- game losing streak in Newcastle. The Giants ran the Eagles close in the home clash at Wright Robinson last month, but Fab Flournoy's men have been revitalised following a rare home defeat at the hands of Leicester two weekends ago.

They got back on track by beating Worcester in the quarter- finals of the BBL Cup on Friday and their demanding coach said: "I was extremely pleased not just with the win against Worcester, but the energy that we came out with. …
