MANAGER Scott McNiven feels HYDE are now getting their just deserts in their battle to maintain their Blue Square Premier status after a 2-1 win at Hereford, writes BEN COLLINS.

The Tigers fell behind to Josh O'Keefe's deflected shot in the 25th minute, but with loanee Jamie Milligan pulling the strings in midfield, McNiven's men fought back to claim a third straight win.

Louis Almond's cross deflected up for Alex Brown to head home a 63rd-minute equaliser before crashed in a 73rd minute volley.

"The lads have come here and played some great stuff on a really tricky surface," said McNiven.

"It was nice to outplay Hereford and get the result. Sometimes we have outplayed people and not got the result that we deserved.

"It was a great win and gives us a massive boost going into Tuesday's game. Now we can keep kicking on up the league."

The Tigers, who remain two points above to drop zone, return to Ewen Fields tomorrow to host ninthplaced Cambridge before welcoming title hopefuls Wrexham on Saturday. …
