GET set for a pop comeback on the opening show of The Voice - as 90s star Kavana will also be trying his luck at the auditions.

Kav, real name Anthony Kavanagh, from Moston, had success back in the 90s with songs including I Can Make You Feel Good.

He also had a brief comeback in 2007 when he made it to the finals of ITV talent show Grease Is The Word, which was looking for new West End stars.

Now, we'll see him auditioning on The Voice - where the judges have no idea who is performing until they decide whether or not to turn their chairs round solely on the merits of the voice they hear - rather than the person they see.

It was obviously a bit of a risk for Kav, but he decided to give it a go.

He tells me: "I was invited to do it by the BBC, I was kind of a bit wary after the whole Grease thing, did I want to go through all that again? But I thought with The Voice it's a little less pantomime than The X Factor, and I've got nothing to lose."

Kav admits, despite his years in the biz, it was still nervewracking to go on stage. …
